32-Year-Old Actor Interviewing Himself at Age 12 Goes Viral (Video)
Jeremiah McDonald’s project features his realistic conversation with a video he made in 1992.
Talk about the interview of a lifetime. Thanks to the magic of VHS and a lot of patience, 32-year-old actor Jeremiah McDonald has unveiled a short YouTube video that was 20 years in the making.
In the video, present-day McDonald is seen having a realistic conversation with his 12-year-old self, via a tape he made back in 1992. Back then, McDonald wondered what it would be like to speak to a future version of himself, and made a video in which he asked all the burning questions any rational tween would want to know.

Among the topics of conversation: Doctor Who, Star Wars and whether or not his childhood pets were still alive. The most stirring moment comes when the younger McDonald holds up a picture he drew of a rabbit, and his present-day counterpart recalls wistfully that he used to want to be an animator.
The video has been getting plenty of attention online, and among McDonald’s newfound admirers is Irish comedian Graham Linehan (The IT Crowd), who tweeted he was “speechless at how good this is.”
Addressing his new fans on Twitter Thursday, McDonald said the video was difficult to make, because he was locked into what his 12-year-old self improvised 20 years ago.

Apparently, it might propel him back into his childhood dream of animation.
"578 drawing requests. What have I gotten myself into..." McDonald tweeted Thursday, after thanking all of his well-wishers.
