FX has snapped up rights to three Fox films, including "Max Payne," the Mark Wahlberg starrer that opened at No. 1 this past weekend.

The network also has bought rights to this past summer's "The X-Files: I Want to Believe," starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, and "The Rocker," starring Rainn Wilson.

FX declined comment, but sources said all three titles carry four-year license terms, starting in late 2010-early 2011, with the potential for distributor Twentieth TV to carve out broadcast network windows on each. FX is estimated to have paid a total of about $8 million for the three titles, based on the standard 10%-12% of domestic boxoffice.

"Payne" opened with $17.6 million and has upped its domestic boxoffice take to $21.1 million through Wednesday.

"X-Files" earned $20.1 million domestically, while "Rocker" took in $6.4 million. (partialdiff)
