Nick Jr. has greenlighted a live-action magazine-style series for preschoolers titled "Yo Gabba Gabba!"

In other cable news, Adult Swim released details about its upcoming live-action series "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job" and said it will debut Feb. 11 along with another live-action show, "Saul of the Mole Men."

"Gabba," produced by the Magic Store and Wildbrain, will start production on 20 half-hour episodes in April in Orange County outside Los Angeles for a fall premiere on Nick Jr., the programming block for preschoolers that airs 9 a.m.-2 p.m. weekdays on Nickelodeon.

The series, hosted by DJ Lance Rock (Lance Robertson), will use music and songs to highlight simple life lessons and universal experiences in the lives of preschoolers. It also will feature animated segments, real kids and puppet characters.

Meanwhile, "Tim and Eric" is a 15-minute variety-sketch show starring Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim that offers viewers a look into the minds of the creators of "Tom Goes to the Mayor." It's described as a fast-paced, absurd collection of short films, parodies, animation, pranks and musical numbers, with special guests to include "comedians, celebrities, bad actors and pets."

"Saul" is a 15-minute serialized comedy-adventure combining live-action and puppetry, shot entirely in front of a green screen. It's executive produced by Peter Girardi, Craig Lewis and Tom Stern.

"Tim and Eric" debuts at 11:45 p.m. on Feb. 11, followed by the premiere of "Saul" at midnight.
