PSY's Reddit AMA Highlights: Getting Famous and Maintaining 'Perfect Hair'
The "Gangnam Style" singer also talks attending college in Boston, wanting to meet Tom Cruise, and why he never gets bored doing his trademark move.
You’ve seen his video -- but what do you really know about the man behind “Gangnam Style"?
On Wednesday, Korean phenomenon PSY braved Reddit's AMA (“ask me anything”), a question an answer chat hosted by the popular social website.
PSY, whose “Gangnam Style” has become an international hit, revealed a few things the casual fan might not be aware of, including his biggest inspiration (Freddie Mercury) and which star he’d most like to meet (Tom Cruise).

He writes all of his own music.
Asked by a fan for permission to come visit him in Seoul, PSY replied, “call me maybe.”
PSY also reminisced on his days at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, admitting he didn’t attend class much.
“when i was in college i was young and stupid so i thought i cannot learn creative things from other people like professors. i taught myself,” he wrote. “but nowadays sometimes i regret but things worked out ok.”

there's no time to be bored. i'm so busy doing the horse dance...
On shooting the elevator portion of the "Gangnam Style" video:
that was ad libbed. nong chul is the name of the elevator guy and he is very famous comedian in korea. that is a very popular dirty move he has been doing for 6 years and i asked him to do it in my video. if i am underneath, it would be dirtier!
we only did 2-3 takes and everyone on the video set was crying from laughing. definitely my favorite scene in the video.
