Garfunkel and Oates are hitting the road.

Under the Monster Energy Outbreak Comedy Tour, Garfunkel and Oates will travel to major cities such as San Francisco, Houston, Seattle, New York, Chicago, New Orleans and Boston. The tour hits Los Angeles' Avalon on Oct. 16. They'll also play a show July 25 during Comic-Con at San Diego's House of Blues.

The timing couldn't be more perfect, as Micucci and Lindhome ready the premiere of their IFC series, Garfunkel and Oates, on Aug. 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

"We are so excited to be partnering with the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour for their first comedy edition," said Micucci and Lindhome in a joint statement. "We promise there won't be any scary monsters. And hopefully there won't be any outbreaks. Just a lot of energy and a tour. We can't wait!"

Upright Citizens Brigade alums Micucci and Lindhome met in 2007 and formed Garfunkel and Oates, named after the "two famous rock 'n' roll second bananas," Art Garfunkel and John Oates. In 2012, the duo appeared on their first special, The Half-Hour, which aired on Comedy Central. They have released two full-length albums, Slippery When Moist and All Over Your Face, which both have topped the iTunes comedy charts.

Garfunkel and Oates was featured in Billboard's Comedy Issue, where Lindhome said "the best [thing about touring] is the travel, getting to see the world and having food in every city."

The Monster Energy Outbreak Tour has featured several breakthrough musical acts since 2011, including Iggy Azalea, Macklemore, Kendrick Lamar and Of Mice and Men. This is the first year the tour is expanding into comedy.

Tickets go on sale to the public Friday at 10 a.m., while Live Nation and Ticketmaster pre-sales will go on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m. through Thursday at 10 p.m.
