The all-time top-selling solo artist in the U.S. has been without an agency for 20 years.

Garth Brooks, the top-selling solo artist in U.S. history, has signed an exclusive global representation deal with WME, Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter have exclusively learned.

The agency will represent Brooks in all areas including music, film, television, books and endorsements.  Brooks continues to be managed by Bob Doyle & Associates.

Rob Beckham, partner and co-head of the WME Nashville office, will lead the global team at WME overseeing Brooks’ representation. On the live side, Brooks has been booked in-house since the death of his only agent, Joe Harris, in 1996; Harris signed Brooks back in 1988 while at Buddy Lee Attractions, then moved with Brooks to William Morris in 1993.

Brooks is the top touring artist in country music history. His current tour, The Garth Brooks World Tour, his first in 13 years, has broken ticket sales records in 35 cities, and recently sold out two upcoming Yankee Stadium shows on July 8-9. While Brooks does not report his box-office data to Billboard Boxscore, the tour, promoted by independent country promoter Ben Farrell, claims more than 4 million tickets sold to date. Brooks previously did a four-year residency at the Wynn Las Vegas.

Brooks released his self-titled debut album in 1989 and is now certified by the RIAA as the No. 1-selling solo artist in U.S. history with over 136 million albums. He also is the only solo artist to have six albums surpass the 10 million mark, including No Fences, Ropin’ the Wind, The Hits, Garth Brooks, Sevens and Double Live. Brooks’ albums have spent more weeks at No. 1 on the album sales charts than any other artist, and he has taken 25 singles to the top spot on the country charts.  His most recent album, Man Against Machine, was released in late 2014 exclusively to his online music store GhostTunes.

Brooks has received numerous honors, including 22 Academy of Country Music Awards, 19 Billboard Music Awards, 12 Country Music Association Awards, 17 American Music Awards, two Grammy Awards, 12 Peoples’ Choice Awards, 29 ASCAP Awards and a Golden Globe nomination.

Brooks was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2011.
