Gary Busey, Ted Haggard Cast in 'Celebrity Wife Swap'
The actor will trade spouses with the Evangelical pastor on the ABC series.
Evangelical pastor Ted Haggard and born again Christian Gary Busey are slated to participate in ABC's upcoming Celebrity Wife Swap, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The show began shooting Thursday at the LGBT Pride Center in Colorado Springs, notes the Colorado Springs Gazette.
Haggard resides in Colorado Springs with his wife Gayle, and is pastor of the nondenominational Christian church St. James. He previously headed the city's New Life Church and was president of the National Association of Evangelicals but fell from grace when it was revealed in 2006 that he had paid a man for sex and was using crystal meth.
Busey, a Celebrity Rehab and Apprentice alum, is also involved in the church as a minister at the Promise Keepers Christian men's group. He posted on his Twitter account last month, "In the presence of God will be clarity, joy, and happiness of all tings we see, hear, and touch."
The actor also has a long list of credits including Entourage (as himself), Point Break and Under Seige.
Participants on Wife Swap switch spouses for two weeks. During the first week, the wives follow house rules as far as child-rearing and household duties. The second week, the tables are turned and they impose their rules on the family they're visiting.
