Gary Cole in for 'Good Behavior'
Jeffrey Tambor set to guest; plus other castingsHot off his stint on ABC's "Desperate Housewives," Gary Cole has signed to co-star on the network's drama pilot "Good Behavior," with Jeffrey Tambor on board to guest star.
Additionally, Ty Burrell has been cast in ABC's untitled David Kohan/Max Mutchnick comedy pilot, while Benny Ciaramello and John Carroll Lynch have joined ABC's drama pilot, "The Prince of Motor City," and Kerry Bishe has joined Fox's drama pilot "Virtuality."
"Good Behavior," from ABC Studios and director Charles McDougall, centers on Jackie (Catherine O'Hara), the matriarch of a family of criminals who decides it's time for her brood to go straight when her husband (Cole) ends up in the clink for five years.
Tambor will play Hy, Jackie's sleazy partner at a pawn shop.
Cole is coming off a turn on "Housewives" as Wayne, the evil ex-husband of Katherine Mayfair (Dana Delany).cq
The untitled Kohan/Mutchnick comedy, from WBTV, revolves around two men -- Derek (Josh Cooke), who is straight and Drew (Alan Tudyk), who is gay -- who are lifelong best friends and business partners. Burrell will play Drew's handsome lover.
Burrell, who co-starred on Fox's "Back to You," will next be seen in "The Incredible Hulk."
"Motor City," from ABC Studios, is a gothic family soap inspired by "Hamlet" that centers on Billy (Warren Christie), a young Harvard philosophy professor forced to return to Detroit to take over the family's auto company and reconnect with his ex-girlfriend Meg (Piper Perabo).
Ciaramello ("Friday Night Lights") will play Billy's best friend growing up. Lynch ("K-Ville") will play the auto company's CFO and Meg's father.
"Virtuality," from UMS, BermanBraun and director Peter Berg, is set aboard Earth's first starship, which is equipped with advanced virtual reality modules. Bishe plays a computer specialist aboard the spaceship. During her virtual reality sessions, she's a Tokyo rock star.
