Gerard Depardieu Spoofs His Peeing-on-a-Plane Incident (Video)
The actor and Edouard Baer -- his "Asterix and Obelix" co-star, who was traveling with him at the time -- appear in character in a new parody.
Anderson Cooper isn't the only one who is able to laugh at Gerard Depardieu's now-infamous act of relieving himself on a plane.
A few weeks after the French actor peed on an Air France plane flying from Paris to Dublin after being told he couldn't use the bathroom, Depardieu has shot a new video spoofing the incident.

In the video, Depardieu and his fellow Asterix and Obelix star Edouard Baer, who was traveling with the actor when he urinated in the plane, appear as their characters from the French series.
When Depardieu-as-Obelix learns that he won't be able to dine on wild boar until after takeoff, he says he can't wait because he's too hungry. He then leaves his seat, and a flight attendant comes over the speaker to tell the passengers that the plane is going to have to make an unscheduled landing because of a passenger who made a "mess."

In reality, the actor urinated on the carpet of an Air France plane Aug. 17 in front of passengers when the cabin crew asked him to wait 15 minutes to use the restrooms.
"Je veux pisser, je veux pisser," Depardieu, 62, was overheard telling flight attendants, according to a passenger's recollection.
"The attendant said 'I'm sorry, you'll have to wait fifteen minutes, [when] we'll be in flight. The toilets are locked'," the passenger said.

Instead, Depardieu said he couldn't wait, unzipped his pants and peed on the carpet in front of all the passengers.
A video of CNN's Cooper giggling uncontrollably while discussing the incident on-air later went viral.

Depardieu and Baer will star in an upcoming feature film version of Asterix and Obelix -- titled Asterix and Obelix: On Her Majesty's Secret Service -- which is scheduled for a 2012 release.
