German Das Vierte Inks Kids Deal with Ani Group Anixe
Once a subsid of NBC Uni, Das Vierte is controlled by Russian investor Dimitrij Lesnewski.
BERLIN -- Struggling German broadcaster Das Vierte has signed a programming deal with kids animation group Anixe that will see Anixe fill the channel's morning and access prime-time slots with cartoons and nature documentaries from its catalogue.
The deal is the latest programming shuffle at Das Vierte, which has gone through several relauches and ownership shifts in the past few years.
Once a subsidiary of NBC Universal, Das Vierte is now controlled by Russian investor Dimitrij Lesnewski.
A deal to sell the channel to Phoenix Media, a subsidiary of Britain's Spirt on Media group, fell through earlier this year.
