German 'Farmer' Enjoys Ratings Harvest for RTL
Local language version of Fremantle's reality format "Farmer Wants a Wife" has growing audience
COLOGNE, Germany -- German viewers can't get enough of Bauer Sucht Frau, the local language version of Fremantle's reality format Farmer Wants a Wife.
Some 8.1 million tuned in for the second show of the new Farmer season on network RTL this week, a sizable bump on the series debut of 7.8 million. Farmer plowed the ratings row for RTL -- harvesting 24% of all viewers and nearly 25% in the key 14-49 demographic. If it can hold its momentum, Bauer Sucht Frau is on track to beat last season's ratings record of 8.56 million viewers for the series' season finale.
