Germany's High-View Group Buys Bankrupt Music TV Network Deluxe Television
The German music channel filed for bankruptcy earlier this year.
COLOGNE, Germany – German media firm High-View-Gruppe has acquired Deluxe Television, the music TV channel that filed for bankruptcy earlier this year.
High-View already controls several niche pay TV channels in Germany, including documentary networks Planet and Planet HD and music channels Jukebox, RCK TV and RLX TV. High-View also holds stakes in German regional commercial channels Hamburg 1 and TV Berlin.
Deluxe Television launched in 2005 and operates several niche music TV channels available via cable, satellite and on IPTV networks in Germany. Butt he group has had trouble making ends meet and filed for insolvency protection in January.
