Gillian Jacobs Joins Jeffrey Tambor, Adam DeVine in Disney's 'Magic Camp'
Mark Waters is directing the family comedy, which stars DeVine as a retired camp counselor who becomes inspired by a troupe of newbie magicians.
Gillian Jacobs is packing her bags for Magic Camp, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The Community and Love star is joining Jeffrey Tambor and Adam DeVine in the Disney film, directed by Mark Waters (Mean Girls, Bad Santa 2).
The family comedy stars DeVine as a former magic camp counselor who is pulled out of retirement by his former mentor (Tambor) to return to the grounds of his youth and finds inspiration in his troupe of newbie magicians. Jacobs will play DeVine’s former partner.
Suzanne Todd will produce, with Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah executive producing. Dan Gregor and Doug Mand wrote the most recent draft of the screenplay. Production is set to begin in early December in and around Los Angeles.
Jacobs, who recently wrapped production on season two of Netflix's Love, will next be seen in Janicza Bravo's dramedy Lemon and the New Line comedy Life of the Party opposite Melissa McCarthy. She is repped by UTA and Authentic Management.
