Turner Broadcasting Names Giorgio Stock President of EMEA Region
The former Walt Disney consumer-products, publishing and retail executive says he sees opportunity to expand brands and franchises across platforms.
Time Warner's Turner Broadcasting said Tuesday that it has hired former Walt Disney executive Giorgio Stock as president of Turner Broadcasting System EMEA.
He will start his job, in which he will lead Turner’s entertainment and kids networks in Europe, Middle East and Africa, effective in April.

The announcement was made by Gerhard Zeiler, president of Turner Broadcasting System International.
Stock most recently served as executive vp & general manager of Disney Consumer Products, Publishing and Retail, EMEA.
"We are delighted that Giorgio is joining us and look forward to the leadership and wealth of international media experience he will bring to one of the most strategically important areas of Turner International," said Zeiler. "His success in international licensing and merchandising, his experience in launching kids programs and channels, as well as his deep understanding of digital commerce make him the ideal choice to lead our business in EMEA into the next stage of growth."
