Giuliana Rancic Talks Motherhood on 'Today': 'I Love Doing the Nightfeedings'

Giuliana Rancic appeared on Wednesday's edition of Today for her first live TV interview since the birth of her son, Edward Duke, three weeks ago.

Speaking to Savannah Guthrie, the E! News host and star of the Style Network series Giuliana & Bill beamed as she spoke about her baby, born via surrogate Aug. 29. On past seasons of the reality show, Giuliana and her husband, Bill Rancic, documented their emotional effort to become pregnant; a new clip released by Style on Tuesday revealed the identity of the surrogate, named Delphine.

"We're very close with her," Rancic told Guthrie. "She's such a wonderful person and she gave us the greatest gift in the world."

With the boy now at home, Rancic -- who also co-hosts E's Fashion Police -- has been focusing on motherhood.

"I'm definitely doing all the nightfeeding. Bill and I fight over who's gonna feed him. Just because we struggled so long to have a baby, that now that he's here we're not gonna complain. You're never gonna hear us complaining. So I love doing the nightfeedings. I just love spending every second I can with him."

When asked who the baby resembles, Rancic replied: "I think he looks more like Bill. Which is a good thing. I don't want a boy version of myself!"

Almost a year ago, Rancic revealed her breast cancer diagnosis on Today, after which she took leave from work to undergo a double mastectomy.

"It's funny, this was the best year of my life because of the baby and it was the worst year of my life because of the breast cancer. But it just goes to show that if you're strong and positive, great things can come from the darkness of your life."
