Giving 'Speed Networking' a spin at the THR/Billboard Film and TV Music Conference

Now here's a way to get things done: gather some 30 successful music creators, influencers and decision makers, arm them with a cheap plastic sand hourglass, then allow aspiring composers, songwriters and musicians two minutes with each to gleam as much advice as time will allow. Hey, it's got to be better than Facebook stalking.  

To test out the THR/Billboard Film and TV Music Conference's first ever "speed networking" event, we sent working musician and aspiring composer Denver Dalley through the packed Hyatt Century City ballroom on a quest for answers on everything from licensing to songwriting to rights -- and the perfect internship. And while most of the hourglasses failed to work, our experiment did.
