'Glee's' Chris Colfer Celebrates Emmy Nom With 'Struck By Lightning' Cast

"The SBL crew surprised me today with congratulatory gifts, not once, but three times! I couldn't ask for a sweeter group!" Colfer Tweeted Friday morning, referring to the indie-coming-of-age comedy he wrote and in which he will also co-star.

"Thank you so much for all the congratulating tweets! I'm so excited for all of our nominations! Especially @dotmariejones! I love that girl!" he added. (Dot Marie Jones plays football coach Shannon Beiste on the Fox hit.)
It was announced Thursday that Christina Hendricks, who just scored her second Emmy nomination for Mad Men, is joining the cast.
Colfer, who was surprised to find out on Twitter that Season 3 of Glee will be his last, has been excitedly Tweeting about his movie project, which will be headlined by Allison Janney. Angela Kinsey, Allie Grant, Ashley Rickards, Polly Bergen, Brad Henke, Robbie Amell and Carter Jenkins have supporting roles.

"We had our first Struck by Lightning cast and crew party! Amazing team of people! Can't wait for the rest of the cast to be announced! #SBL," he wrote over the weekend.
Colfer has a few other projects in the works, including a Disney Channel project The Little Leftover Witch and a young adult book series, Land of Stories, due in 2012.

He will appear along with the rest of the cast in Glee: The 3D Concert Movie, which opens Aug. 12. Fox is hosting special sneaks two days before the official opening.
