"The SBL crew surprised me today with congratulatory gifts, not once, but three times! I couldn't ask for a sweeter group!" Colfer Tweeted Friday morning, referring to the indie-coming-of-age comedy he wrote and in which he will also co-star.
"Thank you so much for all the congratulating tweets! I'm so excited for all of our nominations! Especially @dotmariejones! I love that girl!" he added. (Dot Marie Jones plays football coach Shannon Beiste on the Fox hit.)
It was announced Thursday that Christina Hendricks, who just scored her second Emmy nomination for Mad Men, is joining the cast.
Colfer, who was surprised to find out on Twitter that Season 3 of Glee will be his last, has been excitedly Tweeting about his movie project, which will be headlined by Allison Janney. Angela Kinsey, Allie Grant, Ashley Rickards, Polly Bergen, Brad Henke, Robbie Amell and Carter Jenkins have supporting roles.
