Glenn Close to Debut 'Alfred Nobbs' at Toronto
The Irish-set drama that reprises Close's 1982 stage role will receive red carpet treatment at Roy Thomson Hall.
TORONTO -- Glenn Close will be at the Toronto International Film Festival for the world premiere of Rodrigo Garcia’s Albert Nobbs at Roy Thomson Hall.
Entertainment One grabbed the Canadian rights to the Irish-set drama in which Close plays a woman passing for a man.
The U.S. rights earlier went to Liddell Entertainment and Roadside Attractions.
Garcia directed the adaptation of the 1982 Off-Broadway stage play for which Close won an Obie award.
Mia Wasikowska, Aaron Johnson, Janet McTeer, Pauline Collins, Brenda Fricker, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Brendan Gleeson also star in Albert Nobbs.
Bonnie Curtis, Julie Lynn and Alan Moloney produced along with Close.
