Glossy finishes for 'Closer,' 'Weeds'

TNT's "The Closer" and Showtime's "Weeds" had big season finales Monday.

Meanwhile, HBO's "True Blood" showed an uptick in Week 2.

"Closer" ended its fourth season at 9 p.m. Monday with 7.6 million total viewers tuning in. Although that didn't match the Season 3 finale of a year ago (9.2 million), the Season 4 conclusion was off slightly from its fourth-season bow in July (7.8 million).

"Weeds" had its best season finale ever at 10 p.m. Monday, averaging 1 million viewers to top November's Season 3 finale (737,000). An 11 p.m. repeat averaged another 337,000 viewers. Combined, the two episodes were up 31% over the Season 3 finale's first two airings.

The vampire drama "Blood" averaged 1.6 million total viewers at 9 p.m. Sunday, up 24% from its premiere a week ago (1.4 million). A 10:30 p.m. repeat drew another 800,000 viewers for a total of 2.4 million, up 14% from a week ago (2.1 million). (partialdiff)
