Go Digital Acquires U.S. Rights to 'Unraveled'

Marc H. Simon’s documentary about disgraced Manhattan attorney Marc Dreier will be released on VOD and in theaters April 13.
Go Digital has acquired U.S. rights to Marc H. Simon’s feature documentary Unraveled, which will be released on VOD and in theaters April 13. Showtime and CNBC have acquired TV rights to the film, which focuses on disgraced Manhattan attorney Marc Dreier.
Not long before Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff made headlines, Dreier was arrested for hundreds of millions of dollars worth of financial fraud. Unraveled follows Dreier through his court-ordered house arrest in his Upper East Side penthouse during the time leading up to his sentencing. The film has screened at the Los Angeles and Nantucket film festivals.
“When these massive financial crimes are uncovered, the public is deeply curious about how the perpetrators, often highly intelligent and respected individuals in their communities, are capable of risking everything good in their lives for material or other superficial gain," said Simon. "I had this very unique opportunity to delve into the complexities of one of the most notorious white collar criminals in history, and audiences have been fascinated by Dreier’s revelations. I am thrilled for this distribution team to take this cautionary tale to the masses.”
Matthew Makar of Elementary Films, Steven Cantor of Stick Figure Productions and Miranda Bailey of Ambush Entertainment produced the project with Simon, who also is the writer-director of Nursery University and After Innocence.
