New 'Gods of Egypt' Trailer: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's Horus Battles Blindness and Gerard Butler's Set
The god of darkness has got to go.
The gods of ancient Egypt are back and coming to the big screen.
In the new trailer for Gods of Egypt, Alex Proyas' superhero-like romp through Egyptian mythology, the god of darkness, Set (Gerard Butler), has been ruling for ages, ever since winning a war between the forces of good and evil. The task of deposing the evil god falls to the god of the sky, Horus (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), and his mortal pal, Bek (Brendon Thwaites). Of course, Horus isn't just trying to dethrone Set for love of country, it's also personal; Set happens to be the guy who blinded Horus, popping his eyes out in a previous battle.
Luckily, in the ancient world there are magic eyes and golden wings to help the cause.
