How to Get Sarah Jessica Parker's Luminous Complexion
Makeup artist Leslie Lopez breaks down the star's pre-awards show skin-care routine.
“If the skin is not moisturized and dewy then nothing looks that great,” says Leslie Lopez. It’s a mantra the makeup artist always abides by, including with longtime client Sarah Jessica Parker.
Ahead of creating the Divorce star’s look for the Golden Globes in Los Angeles on Sunday night, Lopez prepped the star’s skin, creating a dewy and moisturized complexion that set the tone for the actress’ glowing look — topped with her signature smoky eye and a barely there lip.
While stylist Serge Normant created Parker’s Princess Leia-esque updo, Lopez began her skin-care routine using Babor by applying the plant-based Glow Booster Bi-Phase Ampoules to the face, neck and decollete. “The ampoules provided such an amazing natural and youthful glow, that I only needed to apply a very minimal amount of foundation and blush,” says Lopez, who then proceeded to hydrate Parker’s skin with the brand’s Thermal Spray (“I applied it once before putting on the makeup, to give the skin ultimate moisture and then again after the look was complete to set the makeup and give it a dewy finish.”)
Lopez then layered on the fine-line-reducing Collagen Cream, followed by illuminating Ultimate Perfecting Eye Cream. “It is a lightweight yet powerful eye cream that has a serum texture and is applied with a cool roller ball that eliminates puffiness and dark circles. It’s super hydrating.”
