Golden Maple Awards Nominees Unveiled

The nominees are Canadian talent in TV series airing in the U.S.

Nominees for the Golden Maple Awards, celebrating Canadian talent in U.S.-airing TV series such HBO's Silicon Valley and FX's The Strain, were unveiled Monday.

The awards show for Canadian talent will be presented by the Academy of Canadians in Sports & Entertainment — Los Angeles. The Golden Maple Awards, now in their second year, honor Canadians in the best actor, actress and newcomer of the year categories for TV series airing in the U.S. during the 12 months to July 1, 2016.

The nominees were determined by a committee of ACISE-LA members. All ACISE-LA members will vote to elect the winners, to be announced on July 1 during a ceremony at the SLS Hotel Beverly Hills.
