'Gone Girl': Watch Ben Affleck Get Interrogated by the Cops
The David Fincher film hits theaters Friday
Another Gone Girl clip has surfaced.
In the new scene, Ben Affleck's Nick Dunne is pulled into the police station to be questioned by the cops following the sudden disappearance of his wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike). All signs are pointing to Nick as the prime suspect, and the cops' (Kim Dickens and Patrick Fugit) line of questioning brings to light their suspicions. (Watch the scene here.)
They start to poke and prod about Amy's Type-A personality ("That could drive you crazy if you're not like that") and Nick's whereabouts that evening, but things get especially heated when they interrogate Nick about his wife's blood type — which he doesn't know, among other things (her friends, what she does all day).
"Are you sure y'all are married?" one of the cops jokes.
20th Century Fox and New Regency will release Gone Girl, directed by David Fincher, on Oct. 3. Produced by Reese Witherspoon’s Pacific Standard, the film had its world premiere at the New York Film Festival, garnering largely positive reviews. The Hollywood Reporter's chief film critic Todd McCarthy called Gone Girl "a sharply made, perfectly cast and unfailingly absorbing melodrama."
The film is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Gillian Flynn, who also wrote the screenplay. Neil Patrick Harris and Tyler Perry co-star.
