Google in not involved with a partnership with Vivid on this channel. A statement from a Google spokesperson explains that any company can create content optimized for Google TV.
"Anyone can put up a Website and optimize that Website for different devices, including TVs," reads a statement from a Google spokesperson. "Users can lock out access to the browser on Google TV through a 4-digit PIN code that can be quickly set up by accessing the 'Application Lock' under 'Privacy and Safety'in System Settings. Alternatively, users can implement Safe Search for Google TV's Chrome browser under the same 'Privacy and Safety' setting."
Google TV has struggled to gain acceptance from major TV networks since its launch in October 2010. NBC, CBS, ABC and Hulu have all blocked their content from Google TV enabled devices.
The company recently announced a complete revamp of their Google TV interface, in hopes of making it more user-friendly.
