Google and YouTube Outages Cause Flurry of Twitter Complaints
Tweets posted late Wednesday complained about the search engine crashing.
Twitter was ablaze with complaints late Wednesday about Google and YouTube having crashed.
Numerous Twitter users began posting messages around 9:15 p.m. PT, saying the search engine and video-streaming platform were experiencing outages. According to the tweets, users were without the two sites for close to five minutes before service returned.
The reported outages followed the Wednesday launch of Google's wireless service, Project Fi. After the incident, information about the crashes did not appear when searched on Google.
A representative for Google did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
