Google's Philippe Dauman Jr. Weds, Producer Dante Di Loreto Welcomes Twins: Hitched, Hatched, Hired

Philippe Dauman Jr., strategic partner and development manager at Google and head of sales for Google Wallet Instant Buy, wed actress-vocalist Stephanie Gates at First Presbyterian Church in New York in front of 250 guests; a reception followed at the New York Public Library (where the couple went on their first date). Dauman -- the son of Viacom president and CEO Philippe Dauman -- and Gates became engaged in 2012. The newlyweds will honeymoon in Asia in 2014. Says Gates, "We were thrilled to celebrate our marriage surrounded by so much love."

WEDDINGS

Grey's Anatomy alum T.R. Knight wed Patrick Leahy on Oct. 4 in upstate New York in front of guests including Knight's former co-stars Katherine Heigl and Kate Walsh. The couple had been dating for three years.

Greg Louganis wed paralegal Johnny Chaillot on Oct. 12 at Geoffrey's in Malibu in front of 160 guests. The couple became engaged in April.

Mad Men's Ben Feldman wed actress Michelle Mulitz on Oct. 12 at Smokey Glen Farm in Gaithersburg, Md., in front of 350 guests, including Wolf Blitzer and Veep's Reid Scott. The couple became engaged in December.

Producer Dante Di Loreto (Glee, American Horror Story) welcomed twin sons Luca Bradford and Calvino Joseph on Oct. 1.

21st Century Fox elevated Nathaniel Brown and Dan Berger to senior vp corporate communications Oct. 14.

Bill Weir joined CNN as an anchor and chief innovation correspondent Oct. 11.

STORY: Longtime Talent Agent Susan Smith Dies 

DEATHS

Longtime talent agent-turned-manager Susan Smith, who repped such actors as Brian Dennehy and Kathy Bates, died of cancer Oct. 12 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She was 71.

Daniel Blatt, who produced the 1981 cult horror film The Howling as well as many fact-based telefilms, died Oct. 9 of pancreatic cancer at Cedars-Sinai. He was 76.  

Joseph Adelman, a veteran film executive who in the late 1970s negotiated contracts with the guilds for the Hollywood studios, died Oct. 8 at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank of cancer. He was 79.

TV producer, writer and director Rift Fournier died Oct. 6 in St. Louis. He was 77.
