Entertainment Film Distributors strikes deal with WestEnd Films sales arm.

LONDON – Entertainment Film Distributors has chewed up all U.K. rights to Andy de Emmony’s werewolf comedy-horror film Love Bite, starring former Gossip Girl actress Jessica Szohr.

The movie, currently in post-production having shot in Scotland, also stars Luke Pasqualino (Skins) and Ed Speleers (Eragon) and details the story of four friends who find their dead-end town in turmoil after a bloodthirsty werewolf starts gnawing local virgins.

Indie distributor Entertainment, fresh from the colossal U.K. box office success of bawdy teen comedy The Inbetweeners, will be hoping de Emmony’s romp strikes a note with audiences in 2012.

London based sales and finance boutique WestEnd Films is bankrolling and handling international sales and struck the deal with Entertainment during this year’s American Film Market.

The deal was struck by WestEnd managing director Eve Schoukroun and Nigel Green for Entertainment Film Distributors.

Schoukroun told THR the deal was excellent for an out and out commercial title with mainstream audience ambitions.

Robert Bernstein and Douglas Rae produce for Ecosse while Paul Ritchie takes the project on through his Notting Hill banner.

Ecosse Films’ resume boasts Becoming Jane and Wuthering Heights while Ritchie counts a co-producer credit on Slumdog Millionaire on his.

BAFTA-winning TV director de Emmony made his feature debut in 2010 with West Is West.
