Salvatore Carpanzano also joins the project -- which stars John Travolta, Al Pacino, Chazz Palminteri, Ben Foster and Kelly Preston -- in the same capacity.
As pre-production moves forward on Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father, James Toback, who is co-writing the screenplay with director Barry Levinson and Leo Rossi, has taken on the added role of executive producer.
Salvatore Carpanzano, who has played a role in putting together financing for the indie feature being produced by Marc Fiore’s Fiore Films, also has been named an executive producer.
The film, which explores the relationship between mobster John Gotti and his son John Gotti Jr., is set to star John Travolta, Al Pacino, Chazz Palminteri, Ben Foster and Kelly Preston.
Toback and Levinson previously collaborated on 1991’s Bugsy.
