Governors Ball

What: Governors Ball

Where: Los Angeles Convention Center

Atmosphere: The inside of the Los Angeles Convention Center was completely unrecognizable Sunday night after organizers transformed it into a sea of red roses and white and blue lighting for the Governors Ball -- appropriate given the upcoming presidential election.

Food: Guests including Alec Baldwin, Mariska Hargitay, Holland Taylor and the cast of NBC's "The Office" dined on roasted New York strip steak and balsamic glazed BBQ prawns and finished up with a chocolate caramel mousse before exiting the party with complementary Dove chocolates.

Highlights: It was a night to celebrate for Baldwin, who won an Emmy for his role on NBC's "30 Rock," but he was quick to give credit to the show and creator/star Tina Fey. "The most important thing is that the show won," he said. "I was afraid people would think that the first time (the show won last year), it was a fluke."

For her part, nominee Taylor expressed a desire that all nominees could be declared as winners. "I wish it wasn't a competition," she said. "It's not like we're runners or jumpers. There are so many great people and shows nominated that you just can't compare them."
