Grammys 2015 Fashion: Kanye West Performs in New Adidas Collab Sneakers
His pants were strategically scrunched during his performance to show off the "Yeezy Boost" high-tops.
When it came time to perform “Only One” at Sunday's Grammy Awards, Kanye West changed from a black velvet ensemble into a burgundy sweat suit with the ankles pushed up, showing off his calves and, more important, his new go-to accessory: the gray suede lace-up sneakers he created for Adidas.
The first pictures of West's much-anticipated collaboration with Adidas landed on the interwebs a couple days ago. And he wore the sneaks to the Roc Nation pre-Grammy brunch Saturday. The high-tops with a Velcro toe strap, white suede laces and Adidas Boost technology sole are apparently being called the "Yeezy Boost," or "Yeezy 3," by his crew.
Rumor has it that only 3,000 pairs will be made and they’ll go on sale after New York Fashion Week. One thing we know: The rapper and fashion designer loves his own creations, so we’re sure to see him in these kicks all over the place now that they’ve made their big debut.
