Grammys Fashion: Where's the Color?
Music's biggest names play it safe in black and white. Le sigh.
The earliest stars to hit the Grammys red carpet are keeping up a monochrome tone. We’re used to the men predominantly wearing black and white suits, but this year many women seem to be ditching color on the red carpet.
Gwen Stefani wowed in a black sparkling Atelier Versace jumpsuit, Sam Smith looked dapper in a classic black suit and white bow tie, Ariana Grande wore a one-shoulder Versace gown with silver detailing (accompanied by beau Big Sean in all-black) and Charli XCX sported a white suit paired with pink accessories. The Haim sisters, in Chloe and Stella McCartney, looked like a haute black-and-white sandwich of sorts. And Madonna seemed as if she was waiting for the bulls in an all-black, matador-inspired Givenchy getup.
So we have to ask: Where's the color?
