Los Angeles–based indie distributor GRB has nabbed rights abroad to My Beautiful Game, a Fox Soccer original production.
The series celebrates sport's iconic moments through the eyes of authoritative personalities, celebrities and fans.
Highlights include the Maradona solo goal (Argentina v. England, 1986 World Cup) and the Higuita Scorpion Kick (England v. Columbia, 1995); episodes include "Greatest Goals," "Epic Saves," "Iconic Stadiums" and "Worst Own Goals."
“This well-produced Fox sports series will appeal to soccer fans around the globe -- and with the World Cup fast approaching, this is perfect timing for our broadcasters,” said GRB senior vp Mike Lolato.
GRB handles internationally some 3,000 hours of unscripted shows, including Intervention, the A+E series that received an Emmy Award in 2009.
No financial details of the deal between Fox Sports and GRB were available.
