BARCELONA, Spain -- Mobile music service provider Groove Mobile has announced a worldwide licensing deal with mobile marketing and digital distribution agency Indie Mobile.

The deal covers multiple mobile content rights, including full music tracks, videos and realtones for 70,000 songs, including tracks from dance acts Armand van Helden and Felix Da Housecat, plus U.K. alternative bands Editors and the Pigeon Detectives.

"Indie Mobile works with an extensive group of influential artists that mobile music fans are demanding to hear," said Adam Sexton, chief marketing officer for Groove Mobile, in a statement. "This new agreement will bring some of the leading independent artists to our wireless carrier partners around the world."

The companies say they will work together on direct-to-consumer opportunities at live events in the coming months.
