FremantleMedia's German TV format division opens outpost
BERLIN – FremantleMedia's German TV format division Grundy Light Entertainment has launched an Austrian outpost. Grundy boss Ute Biernat will run the Vienna-based operation, which will work directly with Austrian channels to adapt formats for the local market.

Grundy already has a similar satellite operation in Switzerland.

In Germany, Grundy produces some of the territory's most successful entertainment formats, including local versions of "X Factor" and "American Idol."
