Gwen Stefani to Launch Children's Line
The No Doubt singer is teaming up with Target for "Harajuku Mini," an apparel collection for babies and boys.
Thanks to a 15-year career in music and a successful clothing line (L.A.M.B., launched in 2004), No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani has become well-known as a fashion icon. And now she’s passing down her style know-how to the little ones.
Stefani is teaming up with Target to create Harajuku Mini, a line for babies and young boys (no surprise, given as she has two -- Kingston, 5, and Zuma, 2). Women’s Wear Daily reports that the brand will be available in stores and online beginning in November of this year, with another collection expected in January 2012.
The cost-conscious line will range in price, from $3.99 to $29.99. See the logo, a kiddie-cute hamburger, at New York Magazine’s The Cut.
"I've always wanted to do a cool children's fashion line inspired by the supercute and playful kid's clothing you find in Japan,” Stefani told WWD. “Target has given me the creative freedom to design kid's clothing that is different than most anything you usually see out there with great quality, attention to detail and most of all, available at amazing prices."
The singer has already seen success in the fashion world with her high-end brand L.A.M.B. She launched the more moderately priced Harajuku Lovers in 2005.
A new No Doubt album, the band's first since 2001's Rock Steady, is due out this year.
