Gwyneth Paltrow to Star in Adaptation of Foodie Memoir 'Blood, Bones & Butter' (Exclusive)
The actress and cookbook author is in negotiations to topline the indie film, based on Gabrielle Hamilton's 2011 book.
Once a foodie, always a foodie.
Gwyneth Paltrow, who prepared pan con tomate with Mario Batali during a Spanish road trip, is in negotiations to star in the indie Blood, Bones & Butter, based on Gabrielle Hamilton’s 2011 foodie memoir.

Like Paltrow, Hamilton is something of a jack-of-all-trades. The owner and chef of New York's Prune restaurant also is a trained writer with an MFA from the University of Michigan.
The book chronicles Hamilton’s unconventional background -- she is the youngest of five siblings born to a French mother and an artist father who made the sets for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus -- as well as her unorthodox trajectory to becoming a chef.
RT Features’ Rodrigo Teixeira is producing alongside Anne Carey (Adventureland) and her producing partner Mindy Goldberg (Junebug). The project is out to writers to adapt.
Gary Ventigmiglia, who has a relationship with Hamilton, brought the book to Paltrow. He and Paltrow will executive produce.

Blood, Bones & Butter is described as in a similar vein as Julie & Julia, the Meryl Streep starrer that became an unlikely box-office hit.
Paltrow, a cookbook author in her own right, is currently filming Iron Man 3.
She is repped by UTA, Brillstein Entertainment and attorneys Tara Kole and Harold Brown.
