Stephen Hackett has been upped to senior vp and national sales manager at CBS Television Distribution.

Based in Dallas, Hackett was senior vp and Southwest regional sales manager. In his new position, he will continue to manage the Dallas office and expand his duties to include working with CTD's national sales force to syndicate the company's entire first-run and off-network library in addition to Web-based content and brand extensions to local TV stations.

"Steve's appointment reflects the evolution of the syndicated television business," CTD president of sales Joe DiSalvo said. "With his experience and knowledge, Steve will be able to work with the sales force to bring new opportunities to our client stations across the country for both our existing inventory and new product in the future."

Hackett first joined King World -- which merged with CBS Paramount Domestic Television in September 2006 to become CTD -- in 1990 as an account executive in Dallas. He has held various positions in the company during his tenure, including manager of Southwest sales, vp Southwest sales and senior vp Western region.
