Nancy Carr has been upped to senior vp corporate communications at Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel.

Carr, who was vp, will continue to focus on corporate communications activities, including special events, media and governmental outreach, audience services, public affairs and internal communications.

She will remain based in Los Angeles, reporting to executive vp programming David Kenin.

"(Nancy has) done a stellar job creating a top-notch department, developing strategic messaging for Hallmark Channel and creating new public relations opportunities to share our amazing success stories," Kenin said.

Added Henry Schleiff, president and CEO of Crown Media Holdings, which owns and operates the two channels, "She's resourceful and strategic in how she communicates our story to the press, and she will continue to play a key role as we find new opportunities to grow our company and extend our Hallmark brand."

Carr joined Hallmark in early 2005 after serving as vp communications at CBS, where she led publicity campaigns for series, movies, miniseries and specials. She also organized the talent portion of the annual upfront presentation, planned special events, oversaw awards campaigns and handled public relations for the corporate diversity programs.

Before CBS, she worked in publicity at Fox Broadcasting Co.
