Hamptons Fest makes it personal

The Hamptons International Film Festival will celebrate its 15th anniversary this October with "15 Years, 15 Stories," a series of personal accounts of the fest from such industry veterans as Michael Lynne, Stuart Match Suna, Jeff Sharp, Bob Balaban, and Gary Winick.

The filmmakers' stories will be presented in shorts that will screen before select films during the festival, and in essays available in the official catalog and on the local tv station Fox 5's website.

HIFF will expand with a new screen at the Regal Cinemas Southampton UA Theatre and a new 275-seat theater at the Ross School in East Hampton. There will also be environmental "green" initiatives at the fest, which runs Oct. 17-21 in Long Island, NY.
