TORONTO -- The Banff World Television Festival on Monday said that its upcoming June conference will feature actor-turned-environmentalist Daryl Hannah, who will discuss how to get more media attention for global warming and green issues.

Hannah, who made headlines by launching an "eco-blog," will join Canadian broadcaster and environmentalist David Suzuki and author and broadcaster Tim Flannery ("The Future Eaters") on a June 11 panel titled "Code Green -- Environmental Responsibility in the Media."

The latest panel announcement comes on the heels of former U.S. Vice President Al Gore criticizing the Canadian government's latest anti-global warming legislation during a cross-Canada speaking tour last week.

The Banff World Television Festival is set to run June 10-13 in the Canadian Rockies.
