'Community' Cast Explains Dan Harmon's Craziness and Creativity in New 'Harmontown' Trailer
"I have a Fox pilot I'm supposed to be writing right now, and if they saw what I was doing, they'd be very upset with me"
Two important questions are posed in the new trailer for Harmontown: Who is Dan Harmon? And what's his problem?
The Neil Berkeley documentary follows the Community creator on tour for his eponymous podcast series after he was fired from the series in 2012 and before he returned in 2013. Harmontown, which was co-produced by Future You Pictures and Starburns Industries, premiered as part of the documentary spotlight at the South by Southwest Film Festival and also has screened at Hot Docs and the Los Angeles Film Festival.
The trailer peeks into Harmon's bath time, tour antics and "Harmenian" motivations, plus lines from the cast of the NBC-to-Yahoo show as they to answer those two questions: Joel McHale notes that "Dan speaks his mind, and it has gotten him into trouble," Ken Jeong says, "I think he's harder on himself than anybody else," and Yvette Nicole Brown explains, "He reaches otu to people that aren't used to being reached out to."
Still, Sarah Silverman proclaims, "I'm his biggest fan, and I fired him!"
