Steve Harris has signed on to star in CBS' drama pilot "Protect and Serve," while young British actress Michelle Ryan has landed the title role on NBC's drama pilot "The Bionic Woman."

Additionally, Elias Koteas has joined NBC's drama pilot "Ft. Pit" and Matt Lanter has come onboard ABC's drama pilot "Judy's Got a Gun."

"Protect," from NBC Universal TV Studio, follows the lives of street cops in suburban Los Angeles. Harris will play one of them, a seasoned cop who is physically imposing but not that fit. Harris ("The Practice") most recently co-starred on the NBC series "Heist." He is repped by Innovative Artists and Brillstein-Grey.

"Bionic," from NBC Uni TV, is described as a re-imagination of the 1970s series. Ryan will play a bright woman who is transformed into a technological wonder with $50 million worth of bionic components implanted in her body. Ryan (WMA) is best known for her five-year turn on the popular BBC soap "EastEnders."

"Pit," from Sony Pictures TV and Apostle, is a drama with comedic elements set at one of the worst police precincts in Brooklyn, N.Y. Koteas will play a famous veteran cop who operates as if the precinct were his own private fiefdom. Koteas (UTA, Kipperman Management) next will be seen in the features "Zodiac" and "Shooter."

"Judy," from ABC TV Studio, centers on Judy (Louise Lombard), a suburban woman who balances being a single mother with being a detective investigating suburban crimes. Lanter, who has recurred on CBS' "Shark" and NBC's "Heroes," will play an undercover narc posing as a high schooler.
