The Warner Bros. Pictures tentpole will open nationwide in China on Thursday, day-and-date with its traditional 35mm release.

TORONTO -- Warner Bros. Pictures’ Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 is to open tomorrow on 26 Imax screens in China.

The nationwide rollout from Thursday follows the tentpole picture since July 13 grossing $51.5 million globally in Imax theatres through Sunday, July 31.

And Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 has already become the first film in the franchise to reach the $1 billion mark worldwide.

A super-sized version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2, the final film in the franchise, will be released day-and-date with its traditional 35mm rollout in China.
