Harry Potter Radio Station to Launch on Sirius XM
The limited-run “LeakyCon Radio” channel premieres Friday, July 15.
Aligning with opening weekend of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Sirius XM Radio will launch a three-day tribute channel for the beloved series.
“LeakyCon Radio” premieres on Friday, July 15 at 6:00 a.m. ET, continuing through Monday, July 18 at 3 a.m. ET. Hosted by Paul Bachmann and Kenny Curtis, the channel will broadcast live from Orlando, Florida’s LeakyCon Harry Potter convention, giving listeners access to a wide variety of panels, all the latest Pottermore details, as well as an inside peek at the development of Universal Orlando’s Harry Potter theme park.
SiriusXM will also broadcast interviews with many of the film’s key players, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Robbie Coltrane, director David Yates and more. The young actors known as the “New Potter Kids,” who bring Luna Lovegood, Albus Severus Potter, Hugo Weasley and the young Sirius Black to life, will join these franchise vets for even more interviews.
Panels expected to be broadcast include: Death Eater Recruitment and Training Jeopardy – Harry Potter and the Law; The Books vs. The Movies: What Was Left Out and Why It’s Important; The Past, Present and Future of Muggle Quidditch and …Now What? Life in the Potter Fandom Post Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
“LeakyCon Radio” can be found on SiriusXM channel 141 and SiriusXM Internet Radio beginning Friday, the same day as the U.S. release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
