'Harry Potter's' Daniel Radcliffe Doesn't Miss Quidditch
With the final film of the franchise about to release, the actor isn't overly nostalgic about the trappings of the role.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, the final film in the franchise, is finally reaching theatres on July 15. And while fans may be feeling both excitement and dread at the idea, its titular star, Daniel Radcliffe, isn’t nostalgic about the magical trappings of the role, but with the things he says he expected to miss.
"You know if I were to sit here saying, 'Oh I really miss doing the broomstick scenes,' then I'd be surprised. But I don't miss that," Radcliffe tells Hollywood 411 during an interview airing Sunday on the TV Guide Network.
"I miss all the things I expected to miss. I miss the crew, and I miss the cast, and I miss getting to work with some of my best friends every day. And there are equally things like quidditch, that I will never miss."
Radcliffe, who is currently starring in How to Succeed in Business on Broadway, also talks about what he’s setting his sights on for the future.
"The one thing that I would love to do ultimately is direct," he says. "Maybe in the next ten years, I'll try to do that and that will be a hell of a challenge."
