His name says it all: Harry Styles was crowned this year's British Style Icon at the British Fashion Awards on Monday.
The British Style Icon Award, which recognizes an individual who embodies the spirit of London and is an international ambassador for London as a leading fashion capital, was presented to Styles by three-time winner Alexa Chung.
The One Direction member is the first male winner of the category, which is voted on by fans.
The London Fashion Week regular, who has been spotted in the front row of Burberry and House of Holland shows, was up against supermodel Cara Delevingne, former L.A. Galaxy player David Beckham and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.
Among this year's BFA winners are Burberry's Christopher Bailey, for Designer Brand of the Year and Menswear Designer; Christopher Kane, for Designer of the Year; Miuccia Prada, the inaugural recipient of International Designer of the Year; Edie Campbell (seen in campaigns for Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs and Lanvin), for Model of the Year; and Kate Moss, who received a Special Recognition Award.
