Hart digs undertaker role in 'Funeral' film

Kevin Hart has joined the all-star cast of Screen Gems and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment's remake of "Death at a Funeral," being directed by Neil LaBute.

Hart joins Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan, Martin Lawrence, Zoe Saldana and others in the story of a dysfunctional family that comes together for the funeral of their patriarch. Chaos ensues when dark secrets are threatened to be exposed by a man claiming he was the gay lover of the family's respected elder.

Hart will play a character named Brian the Undertaker.

The comedian appears in Comedy Central's new series "Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire," which premieres Thursday. His feature credits include the Screen Gems drama "Not Easily Broken" as well as Fox's "Meet Dave" and Warner Bros.' "Fool's Gold."
