The story follows an American soccer star who, after suffering a career-threatening injury in the run-up to the 2018 World Cup, embarks on an unexpected journey of self-discovery.
Harvey Keitel is set to star in David Mahmoudieh's feature directorial debut See You Soon alongside Liam McIntyre and newcomer Jenia Tanaeva.
The romantic drama follows a soccer star's journey of self-discovery after suffering a life-threatening injury in the running for the 2018 World Cup.
See You Soon, co-written and produced by Tanaeva, is currently shooting throughout Europe and Russia. The film is also being produced by Monella Kaplan for eMotion Entertainment, and executive produced by Alexander Mikhalskiy.
“This is a modern-day Cinderella story in the vein of Pretty Woman and An Affair to Remember,” Tanaeva said in a statement. “I wanted to create a warm and heartfelt story about people and the power of love. I hope the movie will inspire men and women around the world to follow their dreams, believe in themselves and be courageous enough to take that first step.”
The latest additions to the cast are joining Poppy Drayton, Oleg Taktarov, Carles Puyol and Larissa Malevannaya.
Repped by ICM Partners, Cinéart and the Artists Partnership, Keitel is currently in preproduction for his role in Martin Scorsese's The Irishman and will next be seen in Wes Anderson's Isle of Dogs.
McIntyre, repped by B&B Management, is currently in postproduction on Syfy's The Haunted.
