'Hawaii Five-0' Books Dane Cook
CBS' Hawaii Five-0 reboot has signed comedian Dane Cook to guest star. He'll play Danny "Danno" Williams' (Scott Caan) brother in an episode airing in February, notes Entertainment Weekly.
Aside from touring as a stand-up comedian and releasing his shtick on albums, Cook has starred in films such as Dan in Real Life, Good Luck Chuck, and Employee of the Month. Set to release in 2011, Cook will share the screen with Gary Oldman and Christian Slater in Guns, Girls and Gambling. He'll also appear in next year's Answers to Nothing with Julie Benz and Barbara Hershey, and the feature Detention.
The Associated Press reported on Dec. 6 that Dane's half-brother and business manager, along with his sister-in-law, were sentenced to prison time in October after pleading guilty to stealing money from him. The Massachusetts attorney general's office ordered them to give him $12 million in restitution.
Hawaii Five-0 airs Monday nights at 10 p.m. The series recently reached a season low in the ratings, with 10.3 million viewers tuning in Dec. 6.
